The article is poorly written. The mayor is requesting that accused violent offenders remain in jail as opposed to being released with electronic monitoring.

Certainly not defending the mayor but in the interest of honest journalism whomever wrote your headline might want to actually read the article 🤷♂️

I assume it wasn't the judge who was car jacked last week with her 3 year old kid in the car.
