Chicago Public Schools students to walkout in protest over return to in-person learning
Chicago Public Schools students are holding a walkout to protest at CPS headquarters over COVID safety.
My brothers class only had 11 students yesterday. He said another class had to quarantine for the next week atleast because a few kids were positive and they were in school this week. His teacher is also out and they have a sub that doesn’t teach them anything he said. It’s crazy right now. Three of my little cousins are sick. They’re not even learning anything right now. They should have remote learning and have a good solid curriculum. They would probably have been better off remote learning than what is going on right now. At least remote leaning wouldn’t have been interrupted like it is now. Give every student that needs a laptop one. This situation is frustrating.
Lol don't have to do much to convince a kid to do something like walk out.
You read this stuff occuring all over the world. You read about supply chains being hit all over the world. You read about how the entire world is topsy turvy, and here I am...the dumb fucking schmuck just going to and from work clocking in and out like nothing's wrong and everything is normal and fine. Fucking lemming man...
kinda crazy what's going on.. my dad's a teacher in the their public school system and he told me the morale among teachers is very low ..
Reminder: some kids just wanna leave for a day, but that doesn't invalidate the whole notion.
Minors, like adults, contain multitudes.
It's nice that they're trying, it's a pity it won't help anything.
Lol all these bullshit virtue signaling adults, COVID down-players, boot licker union buster wannabe cucks, and conservatives that have nothing to do with Chicago are now trying to shit on the exact same kids they pretended to care so dearly about because they don’t all want to be in physical school which aren’t even properly staffed or following good health precautions.
In before that deranged guy returns to claim these students are all being paid by CTU/Soros/[insert conspiracy here].
Being a cps kid in poverty with an abusive homelife relying on your free lunch for food must be even more of a hell rn. That was 80% of my highschool a decade ago and I doubt it’s changed.
