I'm sure this post will get 200+ comments about how the taxes and crime in Chicago forced the kellogg company to checks notes relocate here

Chicago-based Mondelez is buying Clif Bar as well.
A big day for food in our fine city

Kellogg is a fortune 500 company btw. So atleast we gain one back from Boeing/Caterpillar. Will be in the Merchandise Mart

With wheat prices being an at insane high right now, probably smart to spin the plant-based business off so it's not dragged down by the inevitable shortages the cereal and snack side will be facing soon.

So Chicago loses two companies promoting war and climate change but gets a company making food. Sounds like a net win.

Chicago: This is great news!
r/chicago: Incompetent Kim Foxx refuses to prosecute the animals who will not leggo the eggo

I thought Chicago was collapsing when CAT announced it was moving all 240 employees from their Chicago area office?

I'm glad to hear that another business is investing in Chicago. I wonder how many people will be based in Chicago

One company for snacks
One company for cereal
And one company to continue John Harvey Kellogg's tradition of shoving yogurt up people's ass among other things

But wait! Fox news told me that Chicago is a Communist war zone full of nothing but degenerates and "undesirables". Why would they leave Michigan?!

Large cap HQ giveth and large cap HQs taketh away.

Guys Kellogg has three businesses that they are spinning off into three separate companies. One of those businesses is already here in Chicago. Nothing new is moving here.
This is from the press release.
“North America Cereal Co. and Plant Co. will both remain headquartered in Battle Creek, Michigan. Global Snacking Co. will maintain dual campuses in Battle Creek and Chicago, Illinois, with its corporate headquarters located in Chicago. Kellogg Company's three international regions' headquarters in Europe, Latin America, and AMEA will remain in their current locations.”
