Chicago police no longer allowed to chase people on foot because they run away

All it says is police can’t chase over minor violations like a traffic ticket or public drinking.

Class A misdemeanor and up they can still chase.

Probably a good thing police aren’t potentially escalating minor situations.

I could have sworn this policy went into place months ago, because I distinctly remember how the headline was spreading misinformation just like this one is.

I thought this was an onion article at first glance.
