Rookie mistakes hobble contenders in two marquee races: Today's Juice
Candidates for the state's two big-time elected posts—governor and Chicago mayor—both stepped in it this week. Can they recover? Plus: A Naperville native wins big in Michigan's gubernatorial primary.
Vallas knew Adcock, Awake’s leader, for at least a year before this event. He also sits in for Dan Proft on his radio show with Amy Jacobson, who are in league with Adcock and Jessica Hockett (who was recently banned from Twitter). Vallas isn’t innocent in any of this.
This is a real funny way of saying, “no one should hang out with Nazis or say stupid Nazi shit because it’s fundamentally disqualifying.” https://t.co/llsC41qHkY
GTFOH with “rookie mistakes.” Vallas has run 3 times before and Bailey twice. But, more to the point, doing Nazi shit isn’t an oopsie daisy!
Imagine writing an article, “Newbies too inexperienced to tactfully hide their racist nazi views” and still having a job the next day. Good work, Crain’s.
The event was not ‘sponsored’ by Awake Illinois, it was literally their ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY. 🤦♀️ https://t.co/WGkEL9aiob
Except Vallas isn’t a rookie, and he was warned about that group’s hateful rhetoric by many people
Both of them showing their true colors. One spoke at a group known for its hateful rhetoric the other had the quiet part of his ideological values resurface. Neither are good for IL
Neither of these people are "rookies" so much as they're "morons" competing the state's least common denominator of angry, broke, aggrieved white people and they can't even do that competently.
Nope. Vallas knew who he was speaking to. No pass on this.
Let us not forget Darren Bailey was in attendance at the Awake anniversary shindig…and from what has been shared has pledged his support toward their rhetoric.
It has nothing to do with Bailey being a rookie. He is just showing his true colors and then backpedals when he realizes most of IL is against everything he stands for.
