Everybody’s late and everything smells like weed: What nearly 2,000 CTA riders told us
In a wholly unscientific WBEZ survey of regular commuters, many expressed concerns that service, safety and cleanliness have eroded since the pandemic began.

All my rides on the blue line smell way more like pee than weed…weed would be an improvement tbh

This is in response to the WBEZ survey from a few months ago that many /r/chicago subredditors participated in.

Is there a place in the city that doesn't smell like weed? I've forgotten what something not smelling like weed smells like.

Everything smells like weed now! Grocery stores, on the street, everywhere. I was at a kids birthday party in a Chuck e. Cheese-like establishment and it smelled like weed.
I'm all for enjoying yourself, but God damn, switch to gummies if you're getting high while running errands.

Can someone explain to me why people just don’t do edibles?

Race of respondents was 75% white, 9% Latino, 6% Black, 5% Asian and 5% who identified in another racial category or said they preferred to not say.
So this could either mean that mostly white people read WBEZ, or this is why CTA leadership, city hall and aldercreatures don't care.

My only issue with weed is how it lingers in the air.
