There was also a story last week of a Hispanic male walking home from work and the video shows another male approaching him from behind and stabbing him and killed him. This happened sometime in the afternoon. Pretty crazy and now this story pretty sad both people died.

"The suspect is described as a male Black, unknown age, tall, thin, wearing a dark hoody, sunglasses, a white N-95 mask, dark skinny jeans, dark shoes and carrying a dark back pack," the LAPD wrote in a press release Friday. "Based on evidence discovered by detectives, the suspect is believed to be homeless."

So downtown la and then this...seems like taking transients off the streets would solve this problem. I bet angry apologists will say they're misunderstood. But clearly they are not. Sure, some are just experiencing homelessness...but alot are sick, and just plain dangerous. I don't wanna hear mike bonin say anything either, people like him are hindering efforts for safer streets.

The store is about 4 or 5 door down from a synagogue and across the street from a doctor’s office. Both of those should definitely have security footage.

I run right past this shop nearly every day. Crazy.

This is crazy and is getting worst. Twice this month I’ve walked into stores and thieves are fighting security or store employees. Worst is they get offended! Yesterday I told the thief to just walk, that’s all the workers wanted. I literally said “ bro. Yo won, they just want you leave. They don’t want what you took. “ Guy goes F! This mine!! Holding a female purse with the price tag and the alarm still on it.
Crime is growing as fast as cops are getting sick with COVID.

According to the article, it's believed he was a random homeless dude. So it was just another mentally unstable dude roaming the streets. Absolutely no motive, just a senseless attack.

Cue the apologists saying how crime is down and LA is not devolving into a 3rd world shithole….

Maybe it's time people stopped voting in corrupt politicians who've turned LA into a shithole.

Sad and angry this woman was murdered. Serious question - how does the city prevent this from happening? Make it harder for 1st time criminal offenders to be released? Mandatory stay at a facility for people with mental/drug issues? Drastically increase police foot patrolling?

And why was she minding the store alone? Any store I have worked at always had two employees working at minimum—for employee safety and loss prevention reasons. This is a senseless, senseless murder, and who knows if the store owners were trying to save a buck by just having one retail worker mind the shop.

So many things could go wrong, and this the very worst of all possible outcomes. Poor girl should have locked up, and put a “due to staffing shortages….we’re unable to open” sign on the front door. And then again, had she done that—-she might have lost her job for doing so. Out of work, maybe, and still alive.

What a horrendous end to such a young life. She must of been so scared. I feel really bad for her family. I hope they catch that sick fuck, although prison would probably be an upgrade to his life now. What a terrible story.

needs to declare martial law. The homeless are turning on the people and I’m sick of the fake compassionate advocates who think it’s right for society to let them sleep in tents and shoot up.

Cops need to start walking the beat like the old days. We need actual feet on the ground not asses in cars.

There is nothing random about this attack

Homeless guy did it. I’m not surprised. The people that couldn’t live in nice neighborhoods due to criminal histories can now just put up tents in those nice neighborhoods. The tents need to be banned.

The sheriffs may be shitty, but I can see why they want the Feds to take cases where possible. The sick minds of the “compassionate” in this city have left us without any sense of order

"random attack"

When you look at the demographic of the suspects who commit these types of stabbings & shootings, you quickly realize they are not random at all. There is a pattern. A demographic pattern.

This was another fairly recent stabbing murder by a homeless man of an innocent person in nearby Beverly Grove: https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2021-04-04/gabe-donnay-victim-in-beverly-grove-attack-was-talented-musician-shining-light-at-data-firm At least the murderer killed himself, too.

Women keep dying in random attacks?? This happened in Ireland just a few days ago too. I hope their families find peace.

Edit: thanks to the person who implied I was dumb by saying this. I hope someone is pedantic about your murder.

“…was alone inside the store when a man entered the business and attacked her.”

And THIS is why you don’t understaff places like this. It’s why I hate that my boyfriend has to open and close the cafe he works at on his own at 6am.

This is so devastating. I’m a young woman who has worked at a retail store in the area until recently, and I was often working alone. I didn’t always feel safe because of homeless coming in and such. I can’t comprehend such an act of violence. This poor woman, I hope she rests in peace and her family stays strong ❤️

The days where you can walk around happy and safe are long gone. I used to walk around my neighborhood all the time but now I don't cause of shit like this. The crazies are filled in LA and it's definitely not safe to walk around alone nowadays. If you do go out always carry something to defend yourself just in case situations like this happens.

We in LA are living in the modern version of Chicago 1930s and New York 1980s. LA 2020s will likely go down as the worst place to live in America during this time.
