Hotel owners in Los Angeles are up in arms as city leaders get ready to vote on an initiative that would force them to house the homeless.

Perhaps the @LACityCouncil members could start preparing extra rooms in their own homes.
So businesses can now be forced to ruin their own business? Where is that in the Constitution?
How about telling Newsom to stop telling the homeless to come here. That would solve a lot of this.
Reason number 1000 to stay the heck out of LA, except to board a plane to somewhere else! Seriously, how can this be legal?
So all the hoteliers agree to rent the empty rooms from the others. I rent you 10 rooms for $1000, you rent me 14 rooms for $1000. Now there are no unrented rooms.
Terrible leadership! The hotels will go out of business, because paying customers will no longer stay overnight. Stop enabling and encourage getting a J-O-B!!
Garcetti and the city council members should invite homeless people to live with them in their own private homes to see what that’s like first.
This is bonkers and a slippery slope. No one should be forced to do this. What's next? All homeowners have to report any unoccupied bedrooms and have to allow homeless to stay with them?
Has this actually been tested anywhere before? Or does city council just dream up this on their own?
Are they going to pay for it when it burns down or they steal all the bedding towels and TVs like what happened to one hotel owner I know.
How soon before they include vacant houses and/or apartment units?
How about a voter initiative to require all elected officials with any spare room in their home to open it for the homeless??

La City Council should pilot this program in their own homes for a year. We’ll need before and after photos.

The eviction moratorium is STILL going on in L.A. City and County. Meaning some landlords have not received rent in almost 3 years. Some tenants are working but not paying. This is government sponsored theft.
If this doesn't make LA business owners realize @LACountyBOS must be stripped and removed from power then nothing will. They'll do anything to hold on to power and increase their stranglehold, and everything they are doing IS illegal. On top of it @RobBonta is useless and corrupt

The hotel owners are trying to run a business not a charity for the vagrants who will just ruin their livelihood.
So some will Identify as homeless free rooms - paid for bye others ... sounds communist's have taking over LA
