I live in Lincoln Heights and can't get home. Called the non-emergency line and they said it was going to be another 5-6 hours until I can get to my house. Woof.

Weird, usually there are tons of helos and sirens on any given night here in LH. And tonight I was grilling jerk chicken outside and it’s quiet, no sirens or helos.

Update: All 3 Officers are alive in stable condition. (11:14 PM Central Time)

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but the suspect died from a self inflicted gunshot to the head.

Not many apartment lights on. Maybe everybody’s got their lights off to look out the blinds.

Which one of you opened up the book of the dead and brought back to life The Dorner?
