How is this place still open?? This has been going on for years.

I still don't understand why people go here. It's not cool. It hasn't been cool for years. Pick pockets and predators in and around this place. STAY AWAY and eventually they'll go bust and have to close.

Why does anyone still go here?? I constantly hear about people getting roofied.

One thing I have learned from Reddit is DO NOT GO TO THE ABBEY.

Unfortunately, this is not news, it's been like that at Abbey for ages.
This just sounds like a typical Friday at the Abbey.

I am not the least bit surprised. That bar has been a hot bed for predators straight and gay for years. The last couple times I went any moment my guy friends walked away or used the bathroom I was immediately approached and touched by straight aggressive men. Stories about druggings have been prevalent there for years fuck that place

Overpriced drinks in cheap plastic cups is the least of their problems.

My last company loved to bring us here for for drinks after work, always got a weird vibe but the place is always packed.

- Gay bar/club opens.
- Beautiful women gravitate to it because they can drink, dance, and have fun without being surrounded by creepy straight guys.
- Straight guys find out about the gay bar/club where beautiful women go to have fun.
- Gay bar/club becomes a hunting ground for predatory straight men who prefer GHB over charm and good conversation to acquire women.

My friend was drugged and robbed at Stache, really no where in Weho is safe.

of course it’s the Abbey. that place is such a shit hole.

I loved this place when it was a coffee shop. Now not so much.

Maybe this type of shit would stop happening if sentencing for these types of crimes were harsher. It’s infuriating that rapists don’t get life in prison. They deserve much worse in my opinion, but life sentencing is a good start.
