Premier François Legault declines invitation to participate in English debate

The Quebec premier has already committed to other debates and just won't have time to add another, his press attaché says.

Legault says that he is the PM of all the Québécois….. Clearly, he’s not.

Of course. God forbid he would care at all about English Québecers, we count for absolutely nothing in his grand plans. But he'll sure be happy to take my tax dollars though, no problem with accepting my returns in English..

And that tells you everything about his “respect” for English-speaking Quebecers

Now he does not even to pretend to care about the English Quebecers. I hope they still have a debate and the we can see if the Liberals and others will highlight the true implications of Bill 96 to ALL Quebecers.

This reinforces the point that CAQ does not care about the English, while complaining that other provinces aren't doing enough for the french

BRAVO! Dans une société francophone dont le français est la langue commune et officielle au Québec; nul besoin d’un débat en anglais. De plus, supposément, les anglophones parlent tous français! Ahhhhhh: ce n’était pas vrai ça?

I guess he's finally finished pretending that he cares. https://t.co/0fb5bicLaC
