Kahnawake suspending political contact with Quebec: Grand chief demands 'substantive solution' on Bill 96

Kahnawake says it will suspend all political engagement with the Quebec government until it can provide a “substantive solution” regarding the controversial overhaul to the French language charter passed earlier this week.

As a French Canadian, I want to see our language protected, yes, but never to the detriment of others, especially Indigenous peoples. It's insane (not surprising, though) that we continue trying to force our will upon others. Colonialism is far from over.

Mohawks are allowed to make ethnic purges on their territories to preserve their culture, their language and lineage but Québec wouldn't be allowed to make soft language laws for the same purposes minus the lineage.
Its just flabberghasting.

Everyone should be exempted from bill 96, it’s racist, a total abuse of power!!!
