This is the worst outcome. Either legalize or not. Don't give bad actors the ability to selectively enforce.

So basically the totally fair, never biased, police and judicial system will haphazardly decide who has to follow the law and who doesn’t but only retroactively.

NANCY REGAN MUST BE TURNING IN HER GRAVE. LOL LOL

I don't like weed myself, but from what I hear, the fact that it is now sold semi-legally has not reduced the number of buyers who get "burned." Adams needs to hire some weed inspectors who will actually take a toke and make sure the shit is legit.

This is a surprisingly sensible statement! The Mayor can’t legalize it or generate licenses, but announcing that he’s not going to arrest for it means people can work with some confidence

I am no fan of city politics and generally think NYC has declined immensely over the last decade. But why try shoehorning this one good thing in with the rest of the bs they're feeding us.

Feels like we are not “heavy handed” on real crime either

That’s great but how about they fix how terrible people has gotten about smoking the stuff anywhere. At some points maybe the train isn’t the place to light up.
