Tenants in 1 million NYC rent-regulated apartments likely to see hikes as guidelines board vote looms on Tuesday
The final decision will be made by the city’s Rent Guidelines Board on Tuesday night and set the threshold on how far landlords can go in demanding more cash from tenants.
"Tenant advocates were hoping for a freeze, or even a rollback..." sensible chuckle
I don’t understand why there aren’t a hundred thousand people in the streets protesting these obscene prices. It’s completely untenable to expect a normal person to manage a 25 to 50% market jump within a couple years. Now they’re going after rent-stabilized too? WTAF.
im sure this question has been answered before but for everyone's reference: does this impact leases signed this year or just upon next renewal?
