So if someone steals a Rolex they are fine but if they do it multiple times then Bragg will go after them? 🤦🏻♂️

Let's do the same for package thieves. There's this one guy who hits my building like clock work and has been arrested multiple times. He probably hits the adjacent buildings too. He does like 30 days and he is back again.

“you know, it’s a relatively small number of relatively well-organized people who are committing most of these robberies that have so much increased in the recent years.”
This comment leads me to believe the police know literally exactly who they are, where they live, how they work, how they recruit, everything, but for whatever reason, can't or won't take any reasonable action to stop it.

How about first time offenders? What is the deal with this fucking guy? Let me enlighten our hapless DA. Most people who have been actually caught shoplifting have done it multiple times before.
I was grocery shopping at Trader Joe's the other day and saw a guy loading a basket full of steaks into a duffle bag. I discreetly told security about it who walked over to the guy and tried to escort him back to the meat section but the perp ran out the door. Security ran after him but stopped at the doorway and the guy got away.
I asked the guard what happened and he said they're not allowed to touch the thieves. Then while checking out I chatted with the cashier about it and he said it happens several times every day. My point is, the police actually getting their hands on one of these thieves after all this nonsense is already a minor miracle. Then they get a freebie on top of all this? Have we seriously lost our minds? Btw, all of us are paying for this in the cost of goods sold - except the thieves.

Go to any CVS/DR, Target, traders, WF in lower Manhattan and there’s a good chance you’ll see an employee giving a cop a statement about shoplifting or you might get to see the shoplifting first hand. It’s out of control and his essential approach to shoplifting and crime in general has just exacerbated the issues.

How about just so your job and prosecute crime according to the letter of the law. If you think a law is unjust become a legislator and repeal it. Consistent undermining of the rule of law.
Edit: typo

So he's going to respond to crime by prosecuting crime? This guy is a fucking legal genius!!!
