Is Eric Adams All Talk?

Six months in, Eric Adams is facing questions about what, exactly, he’s doing to fix New York City. “I’m the mayor” is a phrase he says frequently, usually as a way to end an argument against adversaries seen and unseen.

Yes.
This guy loves doing photo ops more than his Job.
I have seen more headlines and photos of him at parties and photo ops than signing legislation.

His polling numbers early into his tenure as mayor seem to indicate that voters feel this way.

People are just now realizing this? He’s a fucking cop. Only delusional morons ever thought he would represent someone other than the NYPD.

I don't know. I see him in awful lot of real estate friend's IG pages going to events and hobnobbing with slumlords and foreign real estate investors.

He’s doing what he said he would: protecting big developers and shitting on anyone fighting for civil rights, affordable housing, climate action etc.

I've never seen a Mayor hop to more galas, panels, openings, roundtables, press conferences etc. during the day and night than this guy. He usually has 5-8 events scheduled per day. I'm not sure how effective it is for his Mayorality, but seems pretty clear that he's trying to run for a higher office and is schmoozing as hard as humanly possible.
I'll personally never get over the fact that he went to the launch party for a Wells Fargo rent credit card. It perfectly sums up his entire being.

All you need to do is see the overgrown parks, crumbling roads, aggressive driving, 20 minute emergency response times, and teacherless schools to see what he’s all about lol
A lot of it is spillover from BdB, but Adams clearly has no interest in empowering the city’s workforce

All talk would be an improvement. He's actively making things worse through rampant corruption, cronyism and just plain bad policies

Never qualified to be NYC mayor. I blame Trump for making all these losers believe they can have top jobs.

The problem is that the entire country is in the grip of an uptick in crime and New York's Mayor isn't really in a position to make much of a difference. The things Republicans point to as leading to increased crime (bail reform, "insufficient backing of the blue") are non-factors and getting cops out of their cars to do some actual crime prevention would mean taking on the police unions. Something Adams is not gong to do.

Eric Adam’s conned his way to be mayor. He’s a clown shoe.

Yes.
And the worse part is, he’s not even particularly adept at that.

No. That would imply that at least his talk is good. He can't get that right with all of his return to office rhetoric and doubling down on going after subway food vendors

He wants everyone to return to the office, but he's never in his.

No. He's mostly talk, but also an impressive amount of sheer incompetence.

This is still a question? He sends out propaganda emails every week to all city staff to distract from the fact that he isn't doing shit and employees are leaving agencies understaffed left and right

I bartended and served at several fundraising/other type parties and events that featured the Mayor, hosted by tax-evading, ex-cons when he was just Brooklyn Borough President....I dont like the guy...I dont like the guy after seeing the company he keeps and things he's said in these intimate settings.

Eric Adams is everything his supporters accused Andrew Yang of.

I mean majority of idiots voted for him. I did not. Had him at 3 or 4.

Yes, except when it allows him to make a buck. Next question.

New Yorkers.. you made the bed, you laid on it. He gave me that “show-off, all-talk, no substance” vibe from the beginning.
