This is a friend of a friend and what happened to him is a mystery. Posting to get the word out.

There are cameras everywhere and hopefully they'll be of use and answer some of the unknowns.

Were there any other signs of his being "brutally beaten" beyond a head wound?
"So you know Wily Coyote didn't drop an anvil on his head, somebody bashed him."
I'll agree that it wasn't an anvil, but maybe Mr. Coyote had an improperly secured AC unit or something fell off of a fire escape and clocked this guy? Lot of conclusions being jumped to here.

It takes a lot of force to crack a skull. Average person is not strong enough to do it alone, so if he was assaulted it was with something very heavy. Or maybe he wasn't assaulted;he was drinking after all and could have fallen. Hope he turns out okay, whatever happened.

I got my head stomped in by three teenagers in Denver during the “knockout game” craze in ‘09.
Cracked my skull and fractured my right orbital.
Shit like this is so needless and scary.

So he gets hit and then calls an Uber?
Weird

But along the way he suffered a seizure and the driver called 911.
Considering the dude had a seizure and the city is literally paved with concrete, wouldn't occam's razor simply imply he seized, fell and hit his head on the ground?

My guess is he unintentionally made eye contact with the wrong unhinged & deranged person and then was unable to defuse the consequent reactive aggression of said person. I almost got beaten to death with a hammer in McDonalds the other night for just that reason.

Makes me think of this guy. What happened to him? Did he pull through? Was it a bar fight after all?
