It seems like the author is trying really hard to avoid reporting that the locus of this polio outbreak is the largely unvaccinated Hasidic Jewish community of kiryas joel, Orange County and monsey, Rockland, which happens to be the [second largest](https://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/12/nyregion/new-yorks-jewish-population-is-growing-again.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share https://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/12/nyregion/new-yorks-jewish-population-is-growing-again.html?referringSource=articleShare ) Hasidic community in the world outside of Israel and the poorest town in New York State.

Congrats Antivaxxers and those who want to bring America back into the 50’s, you succeeded.

At least someone is looking out for this stuff. It doesn't seem to be particularly glamorous analyzing literal shit. I hope my childhood polio shot is sufficient.

For anyone worried about getting Polio, unless your parents were/remain idiots, you already got your Polio vaccine a long long time ago. The problem is that a bunch of idiots keeping on popping out more children and not getting them vaccinated, and that there's a lot of anti-vax propaganda which is somehow making this problem even worse.

Where does the line begin for the polio vaxx? I’m trying to get the Corona + Monkeypox + Polio all in one day.

GET VACCINATED
Yes, Covid as well. They work.
It’s tragic. Humanity is going to drown in a cesspool of its own stupidity, isn’t it?

Polio was eradicated in the US with a simple vaccine as a kid.
Thanks to the anti-vaxers, it is back with a vengeance.

Looks like I got 3 OPV vaccines as a kid. I wonder does it need a booster?
