After seeing the video of them applauding the anti-vax paraders yesterday, I'm really hoping the city "considers" this quickly.

This should already be a thing. Cops rarely wear masks anyway. Might as well be vaccinated. If some of these people want to cling to their conspiracy dipshittery, dope, we have more open positions for non moronic cops.

Should have been done when the vaccine was FDA approved. Assholes don't even want to wear masks.

Do it. If they resign - oh well...one additional job with benefits just opened. If crime and other situation do turn bad - always a option to call in the guards to temp fill in.

The best thing that could happen to policing in this city would be antivaxxers quitting the force en masse.

I have a feeling Theyll just use fake vaccination cards . They’d probably know where to find them too

They wouldn't do it. Cops already stop work when they have a minor inconvenience for a requirement or backlash that they're not doing their job. To risk this wouldnt be worth it to the cityO[[

They're worried about the vaccine when they have literal white supremacists on the force lmao Go ahead and let them not get it, let the delta variant do its job.

City would change it's tune real quick if lawsuits poured in. Too bad there hasn't been a test case. If a cop responds to you during a crime or questioning and you get and can trace covid to them, would the city be liable? The threat of losing money has a way of making government move real quick :)

I honestly think the NYU’s would protest this somehow. They’re not allowed to strike but they’d do something like show up to work and not actually do their job. . . Oh wait we have nothing to lose.
