Two women shot at 23rd and Valencia — one severely wounded
Both women were alive when they were taken to the hospital after the incident at 6:30, but one had life-threatening injuries.
I rolled by this around 7 on my bike. I had a bad feeling about this. This just happened a block or two away not too many months ago. My girlfriend and her 75 year old mom live nearby. This really sucks and I'm scared about this escalation in violence around them.
One shooting right on San Jose and 23rd in February and now Valencia and 23rd and no update to why the one on San Jose happened from SFPD. We live nearby and certainly would be out on Valencia around this time or even walking to noe and passing San Jose, this is horrifying.
I’d like to know if this was random or if the victims knew the assailants. Hoping one of the news sources follows up with this information.
So that's... 1, 2, 3 shootings and a fatal stabbing that I've seen on this sub in just 28 days. Truly asking because I've only been here a year - is this normal? Because this last month seems fucked.
EDIT: because a lot of the replies seem to think this is city wide- this was all in the mission district within a few blocks. Also why is my comment at the very bottom of the thread below comments with ~3 upvotes? :/
Is it just me or does it feel like the author of the piece is judging everyone who still went to the restaurant later that evening?
Does anyone know if the owners of UpForDayzz and Mr Liquors are OK?!
I was at beretta with my kids. It was a very sad and scary experience. Really hope these women pull through.
This is a serious fucking problem in the Mission. I don’t think it’s not reported on but there is a tendency to compartmentalize the issue.
