A "soft launch" operating only on weekends, disconnected from the rest of the system, is a clever way of hiding the fact they failed to deliver on a 2022 opening date.

Might actually be a chance to see the subway at its most reliable, since it'll be completely insulated by any delays caused on the surface portion of the line.

Note that this is a soft launch, the full launch where the T will run through from outside the subway is January.

I have googled this but I get conflicting info. Lots of plans, wishful thinking, criticisms, but I cannot find out what it actually is. So please, would someone kindly explain to me what this new central subway line (as it is right now) would lead? I may be one of the few residents in SF who don’t ever go downtown.

Germany and Denmark are building an 11 mile tunnel that's 40 meters under the ocean for a little over $7.1 billion. Why did this project cost nearly 1/3 that and accomplish so much less? Where did the money go?

It will take an estimated seven minute and six second walk to transfer via tunnel to Powell station for an able bodied adult.

Wow. Huge miss there. That’s brutal.
