Chipotle raising prices to offset its $15 minimum wage hike

Chipotle announced it would be raising menu prices by as much as 4% to offset the cost of the employee pay raises announced last month.

Because they certainly can't cut the millions their top brass makes.

Already overpriced. And the last few burritos Ive ordered have looked/felt noticably smaller. No biggie, I'd rather get Mexican food from a legit mom n paps spot anyway.

I call bullshit. They doubled CEO pay because 19 million wasn't enough.
They're lying to you, again. https://t.co/IyIcA9xJGu

In N out been paying their employees a good wage for years and they didn’t raise their prices . Stop . It’s all a money grab for the top execs. Nothing more

Alternative headline: Chipotle only had to raise the price of a burrito 25¢ to pay their workers a living wage.

Replace “employee pay raises” with “High level executive salaries and bonuses”.

Ok but are their execs overpaid? Do they donate to republicans? There must be something in the budget worthy of cutting.

Heaven forbid the executives take a pay cut to pay for it. Gotta have more toys than the panera bread guy.
