Yosemite ranger gives heartbreaking account of mother bear calling for her dead cub, asks drivers to slow down
A Yosemite National Park ranger has shared a heartfelt, heartbreaking story about a young bear that was struck and killed by a vehicle and her grieving mother that spent hours by her side hoping to wake her up.
Personal cars should be phased out of Yosemite replaced by electric shuttles. Quieter, less vehicle traffic and appreciation for the wonder and grandeur of Yosemite and its wildlife.
Ugh! Heartbreaking....that poor cub, and poor mama. Yes, people need to drive slowly in that area.
Why do people visit such places only not to respect the lives of the flora and fauna that were there much longer then their brief visits? Makes me very angry.
The last time I went to Yosemite, I was following the speed limit while other drivers were going 10 miles an hour faster. They need to enforce the speeders with hefty speeding tickets
I’m so saddened by this. Poor momma bear is grieving for her cub. And, now I’m crying for her.
I was just there and i don’t know why people would or could drive fast through there. It’s scary and too beautiful to speed through. This is so sad.
This is heartbreaking. Come on people slow down especially in that environment. We are guests when we visit Yoesmite and any National Park. What's the rush anyway? Take a chill pill.
Why do people drive fast? And to just leave the poor baby there and not notify anyone? Sick
This is so sad. 😥 Whoever the horrible person was better be out of Yosemite or mama bear will find you. Karma - slow down 🤬. They protect their cubs.
