Ontario woman with Stage 4 colon cancer has life-saving surgery postponed indefinitely
A 30-year-old Ontario woman diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer has had her surgery postponed indefinitely and says it could be too late to save her if the procedure keeps getting pushed back.
Cancer surgery should not be postponed. This is unacceptable and @fordnation & @OntarioPCParty needs to do something about this.
Who decided this would be classified as a non urgent surgery? Our system is broken.
This is heartbreaking! AND, I can relate, as I am a cancer patient also waiting for surgery. Not fair for those of us who have done the right thing. #vaxxed Now, we are being punished and sentenced to death. That’s exactly what it is. #waitingtodie
Where are the “poor the anti vaxxer “activists”, “let’s not charge them an additional fee for healthcare”
It is pretty sad when a life saving surgery is being postponed because of this. When you push cancer patients off like this, the cancer will kill alot more people then this virus ever will......do better Doug Ford
They are short nurses, has nothing to do with the vid....people really need to educate themselves how badly broken our HC system and govt really is.
The reason that Canadians pay such high taxes are to get surgeries etc as needed. How do important surgeries like this poor lady’s cancer surgery get postponed? This is ridiculous. The government should put a hold on general population paying taxes….they’ll never do that :(
This is why anti vaxxers should go to the back of the line, they chose to do nothing so let them wait !!
Since it's stage 4 , doesn't that mean it already spread. Enough of care for Covid19. We have others waiting for care such as the person in this story.
You need to go to another country to get your surgery. It can't wait. Unacceptable. Im from Nicaragua and even though its a poor country you can get.your surgery done there. Ypu dont need to worry about a place to stay. Please keep in touch and let me know how I can help.
She has Stage 4 cancer. But as Omicron delays her surgery, all she can do is wait and worry
