Canada chooses to buy F-35 fighter jet: CP sources
The Liberal government is expected to announce today that it will enter into final negotiations on purchasing the F-35 fighter jet.
Our Air Force might be flying these jets today if the liberal government wasn't playing politics in 2015.
But but but. Didn’t JT run on a platform that specifically said he wouldn’t buy them? He delayed the correct choice for 7 years risking our pilots and security while wasting billions of $’s. All for blatantly political reasons. When will he held to account?
I thought Prime Minister Steven Harper ordered F-35 jets what happened?
After they canceled 65 of them in 2015 because Harper ordered them…The 40 year operational budget was going to be 44billion. I’m guessing that’s going to look like a bargain now…
So 8 years after cancelling Harper’s plan to buy the jets for being too expensive, we’re buying the immensely overpriced jet 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
It's the right choice for the defense of North America and NATO. It's really the only choice after investing hundreds of millions in the F35 program for years. About time the Trudeau Liberals acted for national defense but this decision should have been made years ago!
Typical @liberal_party pay cancellation fees to break F35 deal then turn around and buy F35s #cdnpoli
The right choice. It is built to expand it's abilities into the future. The connectivity of this fighter to US and other NATO assets in real time including satellites gives it a real advantage.
Add long range missiles to it's stealth capabilities and it's the king of the skies. https://t.co/3FDl69MLEb
