Feels like Toronto got a bad batch of some drug in the past few days - lots of chaos yesterday down on Queen St.

Love that park but this doesn’t surprise me. People really need to be aware of their surroundings. Unfortunately, it is so close to Harrison Pool on Stephanie Street, which is used for showers and at least 5 shelters are within a kilometre of the park. A lot of unwell people walking around. They need to be housed and given support/treatment and not be living in the park. I’m reasonably big and can run pretty fast but have but have been considering carrying a sap. Had a few encounters recently that were way more aggressive than I’m used to.

Not a fan of cops in general but why can’t there be a few in the park walking the beat? Or outreach workers? Proximity might deter behaviour like grabbing a child by the hair. Then again, most cops are really quite useless. Just waiting for that redditor to post all those links, ha!
