Heroes!! Most definitely the guy would have died if it weren’t for them.
I’m surprised the driver side glass didn’t break easier with all those kicks/punches.

Goodness, this must have been TERRIFYING. Amazing on them for doing it anyway. The way that one guy was putting everything into smashing the window, it was like he was trying to save a loved one, even though it was a total stranger. The man inside absolutely would have died without them.
For future reference, does anyone have knowledge of how best to go about this, if you're in the same situation as these guys? Are there things to watch for, say in terms of whether there is a risk of an imminent explosion as opposed to whether you've got time until the flames spread too close to you to continue?

It's refreshing to see something on r/toronto that is uplifting, where Torontonians got together and did something incredible. We need more stories like this.

Did anyone catch the "someone threw us a hammer" line? Incredible. They are definitely not getting that hammer back. HERO!

Police said five men who saw the incident pulled over and rushed to help the driver escape the burning vehicle.
Heroes

What kind of car is that?
and yep carrying a glass breaker in my car now.

In some parts of the world, it is mandated to have a fire extinguisher in the car.
Something to consider as part of the kit you carry in the trunk.

Amazing. Time to get a glass breaker and keep it in my glove compartment.

What's the best way to break a car window in that type of situation?
