‘This is not a number I would normally tout at all,’ said Greater Toronto Airport Authority president Deborah Flint.

You know, 60% of the time it works every time.

I flew to Calgary last week, expecting the worst at Pearson. I didn't fly during the "worst of the worst" in May/June, but it wasn't nearly as bad as it was portrayed as.
Less than half of flights are on time! This is cause for celebration!

Flew AC (T1) internationally, non-US, to and from Pearson in July.
Departing: Arrived at the airport at 5:00am for an 8:30am departure. Waited 2 hours to go through security.. line was snaking through check-in aisles and by the main doors. Post-security: no issues. Even got to sit in the lounge for a bit. Flight departed on time.
Arriving: Landed 10 minutes early. Waited on tarmac for 30 minutes for our gate to clear. Customs was relatively painless as we we prepared our declaration on the ArriveCAN app and just had to get our picture taken at the kiosks. Waited 30 minutes for our bags to arrive, but at least they arrived.
All in all, from the many anecdotes I've heard, departing is much more difficult than arriving, especially if you're going to the US.
Plan accordingly.

So the TTC is still somehow more reliable than the biggest international airport in Canada. 😂

Glad to see how they hold themselves to the highest of standards. Smfh

I was expecting the worst since there have been endless doom articles. I flew internationally in what was the 'worst' time with zero issues there and back

Imagine what would happen if you showed up for work on time this often.

My moms flight yesterday had in interesting luggage issue. Lynx airlines put everyone’s luggage back in the plane and sent it all back to Calgary. They took it all off, and then put them all back on. No one from the flight got their luggage.
