Zellers is returning to Canada. Here's where the GTA locations will be

Nearly a decade after it closed its doors nationwide, Zellers is set to return to Canada. The Canadian retailer announced Wednesday the planned locations of 25 "Zellers store experiences" within Hudson's Bay stores across Canada. According to the...

These aren't Zellers stores they're "Zellers experiences" at Hudson's Bay stores so that's some sweatshirts and stuff with the logos on them. Another brilliant idea from the bay (s)

I hope it doesn't fail. I want more medium range stores available. I'm annoyed that all the options I have right now if I don't want to pay stupid prices for things are Walmart or Canadian Tire. I know Dollarama is also available but I miss when we had the option of Zellers and Sears for things too.

Hope they bring back the Skillet restaurant! I need me a Big Z!

Did no one read that these are not stand alone stores and that they're essentially going to be a department in The Bay?

I'm just curious what they plan to offer that isn't already serviced by existing stores. Isn't discount, low-cost products provided by dollar stores, Walmart, and ecom?

Here the full list for Ontario:

It’s just pop ups isn’t it ? In my opinion not zellers then …

What fool would invest into opening this brand store back up?.

Fully expecting The Bay to mess this up since the company is already such a mess. I’m guessing a lot of sweaters and mugs with “Zellers” on them and then a bunch of bay products retrofitted to seem like they’re affordable.

I only went to Zellers for two things: The restaurant, and to have gay sex in the men's room. Both tasted pretty good.

I wonder if they'll honour my old Club Z points.

Aww, nothing in downtown Toronto :(
The Bay at Queen has no one in there - there's never anyone buying anything in the Women's clothing department. Racks and racks of clothes and 2 or 3 salespeople. I gave up looking for anything decent there.
They should just turn that whole store into a Zellers. And they've reopened Pusateri's there....but all they sell are BBQ chickens, some packaged pasta and a few fruits and vegetables. The rest of the store is empty. Meanwhile, Rabba just opened across the street at Victoria and Richmond...so I wouldn't be surprised if Pusateri's shuts down permanently.

Did everyone forget that Zellers was a legit terrible store?
And this is just a way to fill up dead space in Bay stores?
