Does Ontario need cannabis bars? Report to Doug Ford government says allow consumption sites, stop ‘clustering’ of pot shops

Allow cannabis drinks to be sold where alcohol drinks can be currently sold.

Allowing consumption sites/​lounges without changes to smoking laws would be strange. Not really sure how it would work practically or financially.

I’d be very happy to see something like this exist. Alcohol is everywhere, not everyone can imbibe (for example, I am on meds that I cannot mix alcohol with) - would be great to have social spaces to partake in cannabis with likeminded folks.
