‘I’ve never been so scared in my life:’ Golden, B.C., woman nearly hit by meteorite
Ruth Hamilton was sound asleep last week when she was awoken by her dog barking, the sound of a crash through her ceiling and the feeling of debris on...
I'd just always sleep I that spot forever ..no way a meteorite can hit the same spot twice right ?
This is the most underwhelmingly written article on a very interesting story.
The story is completely unbelievable. I mean an insurance company covering a meteor strike that wasn't part of the coverage plan? Ridiculous claims.
“I wasn’t sure what to do so I called 911 and, when I was speaking with the operator, I flipped over my pillow and saw that a rock had slipped between two pillows.”
Just a rock. That burned through the atmosphere.
Perhaps I've watched too many episodes of Paw Patrol with my kids, but doesn't this mean that she has mighty powers now?
I wonder how fast the meteorite enter the atmosphere And when did it reach maximum velocity as it enter the earth ? And what kinda material are the sheets and pillows to stop this rock from hitting the ground? Serious questions Need serious answers
If I had to die accidently, that's my preferred way. You don't see it coming, and it's a gnarly story.
How could she be scared? She was sleeping and it woke her up in seconds and then it was over....what's there to be scared of? Shook up maybe.
I love how there is a construction site blasting close by (who denied the damage), but her and a policeman immediately decide "it must have been a meteorite".
That rock has sharp edges & looks like it broke off something, while a meteorite usually shows signs of heat & melting. https://t.co/N5248XRR17
