Police act charges dropped for 3 Toronto cops accused of sex assault
Three Toronto police officers who were acquitted in a high-profile sexual assault case have been cleared of Police Services Act charges stemming from the same incident. The complainant refused to testify, saying she's lost faith in the prosecution process.
Regardless of the victim refusing to testify this isn't a Criminal Court, it's a Tribunal. It's a quasi-criminal hearing the police have a duty to protect the integrity of their service & protect their members & the people they serve. All 3 should have been fired.@TPSOperations
This is what the Toronto Police & their lawyers bank on. Relentlessly attacking the victim. And, unfortunately, they do it well. @TPSOperations @jamesramertps Watch @CTVW5 @avery_haines Tarnished Badge. Many female employees/officers have endured this with zero accountability.
Of course. Is this a surprise? No, it's not. This is why victims don't come forward. Toronto Police @TPSOperations never hold their male cops accountable. They'll move up the ranks & do very for themselves as police officers. Ain't that so Chief? @jamesramertps 🤨
