PCs defeat Ontario NDP motion calling for 850 beds, ER for Peel Memorial, 3rd hospital
The Progressive Conservatives defeated an Ontario NDP motion at Queen's Park Wednesday calling on the Ford government to create 850 hospital beds, a new emergency room in the Peel Memorial expansion and a third hospital in Brampton.
Once again the Conservatives strike a blow against the elite poors in a big win for the oppressed elites!
Wow, the premier who always "says yes" is sure saying no a lot to the people of Ontario. I think we should all repay the favour on June 2nd by saying No to 4 more years of #ClusterFord #onpoli #NeverVoteConservative
The closer we come to election time, the dumber his actions become 😂🤣
I wouldn't say start packing you boxes yet but certainly do start unhanging your pictures off the wall.
Headwaters hospital has a tiny emergency room and we get flooded with people from Brampton who don’t want to wait. Our hospital hasn’t expanded since I moved to the area 25 years ago even though the population has more then tripled around Dufferin County. This is irresponsible.
Can you even believe the Fords would vote against what Ontario wants most? They are so on a losing track
This is nothing new. Many existing hospitals and new hospitals put forth their expansion plans throughout political cycles. private bills get presented for their own ridings. Many got funding early in the political cycle and got as far as blueprinting final structural architectural planning except getting ghosted/defunded by the ministry just before the actual construction work.
This is the norm in healthcare politics.
well it makes sense, the last government to build a new hospital in ontario was OLP,
This could be good for OLP, promise Brampton a hospital and use the vaughan one as proof of them getting it done. That'll help their GTA numbers
Yep like Ford says the Cons are for the people…just not the people in Ontario except for his developer cronies
yap, same old Conservatives motions to defeat any good health care measures for the sake of their ideas
A purely political move that will continue to harm the hard-working residents of Canada's logistical centre. Not a surprise from a party that puts $$$'s over people every time.
