Doug Ford’s glitchy online business registry has major law firms telling clients to avoid Ontario
Premier Doug Ford’s new online business registry is so rife with “system shutdowns, technical glitches and substantive problems” that major law firms are advising clients to register out-of-province, the Star has learned.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, this man had experience in two things: Hash and labels.
He fucked up legal hash.
He fucked up labeling our cars.
Someone take him out of his job. He's Peter Principle'ing our province to death.
This system also changed how medical professional corporations were registered, with the online system suddenly showing doctor's home addresses through the system without the doctor's being aware.
Imaging the furor when that news came out. It's fixed now, but there was a time a month or so ago where if someone didn't like, say, that a doctor wouldn't give them a medical exemption...they could look up the doctor's home address, which is frequently what their medical professional corporation is tied to, but privately.
The MD WhatsApp groups were, uh, very unhappy about the update. It was like that for a few weeks before it went back to the old system and their addresses weren't publicized.
